WPD Make Arrest In Monday Shooting Incident

Waterloo Police have made an arrest in connection with a shooting incident from last night. Around 6:00, officers were called to the area of Cutler and Parker on a report of shots fired. Upon arrival officers were able to get a description of the suspects and a possible direction of travel away from the scene. Officers later located and arrested 37-year old Brylon Leon Crawford Watson of 545 Boston Street in Waterloo. Watson has been charged with Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon, Unauthorized Possession of an Offensive Weapon and Carrying Weapons on School Grounds. The shooting incident did not occur on school property, but Watson was arrested on the property belonging to Logan Intermediate School. A 20-guage shotgun was recovered near the area where Watson was arrested. One person was reportedly injured during the incident and taken to Allen Hospital, but the injuries were not related to the shooting.
