UNI's Fay finishes 5th in NCAA's

University of Northern Iowa junior Moza Fay earned fifth place honors in the 165-pound bracket in the 2008 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships in St. Louis over the weekend. Fay entered the tournament as the no. 8 seed in his weight class. Fay lost to no. 3 seed Nick Marable of Missouri in the consolation semi-finals, but won 13-6 over no.10 seed Michael Cannon of American University to get the win. The Panthers finished in 20th place in the team standings with 27 points. It marked UNI’s highest finish at the national tournament since a 15th place showing in 2005. It’s also the fifth top 20 team finish under head coach Brad Penrith.
